Computer science JRF Computer Network Synchronous

  • The term synchronous is used to describe a continuous and consistent timed transfer of data blocks.

  • Synchronous transmission is more difficult and expensive to implement than asynchronous transmission.

  • Microwave transmission is line of sight transmission.

  • In bipolar encoding,  we use three levels: positive, zero and negative.

  • The signal rate is sometimes called the baud rate.

  • The data rate is sometimes called the bit rate.
